Health and Nutrition

Good nutrition is important for a variety of reasons. It provides the body with essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that are necessary for maintaining good health. Proper nutrition can also help prevent chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers. Some key components of a healthy diet include consuming a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. It is also important to limit the intake of processed and high-fat foods, as well as sugary beverages and snacks. The effects of malnutrition in the growth and development in our community are irreversible hence some of our beneficiaries may never realize their full life potential. Adolescent, Sexual and Reproductive Health Program

To promote Compass Action, comprehensive sexuality education is essential. This education should cover a wide range of topics, including human anatomy and physiology, contraception, STIs, healthy relationships, and gender and sexuality. The education should also be age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and gender-sensitive. Access to youth-friendly health services is also critical to promoting ASRH. These services should be confidential, non-judgmental, and respectful of young people’s autonomy. Services should include information and counseling on Compass Action issues, as well as access to contraception, STI testing and treatment, and pregnancy testing and counseling.
